“We are honoured to join forces with My Name’5 Doddie in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease,” said Ross McGregor, Commercial Director at Dalkeith Country Park.
“Doddie’s inspiring resilience and dedication to finding a cure serves as a beacon of hope for all those affected by MND. Through our partnership, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to advancing research efforts and improving the lives of individuals battling this disease.”
My Name'5 Doddie
My Name’5 Doddie was founded by Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir, who was diagnosed with MND in 2016. Since its inception, the foundation has been tirelessly working to fund research projects aimed at finding a cure for this debilitating disease, as well as providing support to those affected by MND.
How will we fundraise?
As part of this charity partnership we plan to raise vital funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Help us do it. We have collection tins across Fort Douglas and within Restoration Yard‘s store and eateries for any loose change you can spare. You’ll also find signage around The Park and Restoration Yard with a QR code linking directly to the charity’s donation page.
Our new charity partnership will also be weaved throughout our seasonal events programme with fundraising opportunities at the Inception Art Show, Restoration Yard fashion show’s and even an exciting new event solely dedicated to My Name’5 Doddie. Watch this space!
These events will not only raise vital funds for MND research but also serve as opportunities to raise awareness about the importance of supporting individuals living with MND and their families.
