Become a Friend of Dalkeith Acorn member and enjoy 24 hour pedestrian access to The Park.

Regular park visitors who would like to help protect the environment for future generations, can become a Friend of Dalkeith Acorn member. Acorn memberships are available for a one-off payment of £12 per year.

Acorn members are provided with a card which opens the pedestrian gate at Town Gate out with the normal opening hours. Acorn members can also request the code to open the pedestrian gates at the Smeaton or Monkton entrances out with the normal opening hours by emailing the team at info@dalkeithcountrypark.co.uk. There is no parking included as part of an Acorn membership  as it is a membership for those who enjoy walking, running and cycling in The Park out of hours.

Please note, access via the Monkton gate may occasionally be restricted due to the movement of livestock on the estate’s working farm.

Become a Friend of Dalkeith Oak Member and enjoy many benefits, including free parking when you visit The Park.

Regular visitors who would like to support the work we are doing to keep our Park beautiful and help protect the environment for future generations can become a Friend of Dalkeith Oak Member. Oak membership costs £10/month and members enjoy many benefits:

• Free parking when visiting The Park
• 10% discount when dining in The Kitchen at Restoration Yard
• Being first to hear of news and events via our newsletters
• Early bird access to selected events bookings

The fishing season at Dalkeith operates from the first Monday in April to the last Saturday in September and is prohibited outwith this period. We have a limited number of seasonal passes available which entitle you to fish on the North and South Esk rivers, within the boundaries of The Park. Permits are available to buy for £35.

Permits are for fly fishing only, and can be used every day except on Sundays. Remember to return all fish to the river.

Fort Douglas Memberships are currently not available for purchase. We are currently reviewing our membership programme.
