2024 Fort Douglas Memberships will be available to purchase from 8 January 2024.

Due to the high demand, we have taken the decision to limit our Fort Douglas memberships to the local EH22 area for 2024. If you live in the EH22 postcode, you’d better be quick ~ our memberships are snapped up faster than little legs can run into Sky Maze!

Once you have purchased your membership, you will need to collect your membership card from the Fort Douglas Hub. You’ll receive an email when your membership card is ready for collection. Please bring valid proof of your address when collecting your card. Membership cards must be shown when visiting Fort Douglas, or entry may be denied. Please note memberships are valid for the corresponding calender year.

Become a Friend of Dalkeith acorn member and enjoy 24 hour pedestrian access via Town Gate.

Regular park visitors who would like to help protect the environment for future generations, can become a Friend of Dalkeith. Acorn memberships are available for a one-off payment of £12 per year. Acorn members are provided with a card which opens the pedestrian gate at the Town Gate out with the normal opening hours. There is no parking included with this pass as it is a membership for those who enjoy walking and running in The Park out of hours.

Regular visitors who would like to support the work we are doing to keep our Park beautiful and help protect the environment for future generations can become a Friend of Dalkeith. Oak membership costs £10/month and members enjoy many benefits:

• Free parking when visiting The Park
• 10% discount when dining in The Kitchen at Restoration Yard
• Being first to hear of news and events via our newsletters
• Early bird access to selected events bookings

The fishing season at Dalkeith operates from the first Monday in April to the last Saturday in September and is prohibited outwith this period. We have a limited number of seasonal passes available which entitle you to fish on the North and South Esk rivers, within the boundaries of The Park. Permits are available to buy for £35.

Permits are for fly fishing only, and can be used every day except on Sundays. Remember to return all fish to the river.

Commercial dog walkers are now required to apply for a permit & permission to operate within Dalkeith Country Park. To enquire or apply for a permit please email enquiries@dalkeithcountrypark.co.uk
