Ideal Location
Our campsite offers a beautiful, back-to-basics experience. Located within the woodland of Dalkeith Country Park, on a grassy field by the river. Bliss.
There are many things to see and do close to our campsite location. Enjoy the attractions and events in Dalkeith Country Park or explore the surrounding Lothians and Borders regions. Edinburgh city centre attractions and festivals are 20 mins away, or if the sea is calling, our campsite is located 30 minutes from East Lothian’s beautiful beaches.
Activities Galore
The Park is home to the legendary Fort Douglas adventure playground that encourages the whole family to get involved in operation fun. You can also choose to take to the treetops for a thrilling view of The Park at Go Ape Dalkeith. If the grown ups are looking for a little escape, the joy of Restoration Yard will be just the thing.
Did you know? Campers can enjoy discounted entry into Fort Douglas and Go Ape treetop trails – yippee!
Foodie Fayre
Treat the family to a little luxury during your stay with an all day breakfast in The Kitchen at Restoration Yard. Pick up adventure essentials from The Larder takeaway, or opt for a happy in-between with coffee & cake in The Coffee Bar. Oh, and don’t forget The Foodhall is packed with delicious local goodies that make for the perfect picnic companions. The options are endless!

With the city’s skyline, cobbled streets and colourful characters as your backdrop, there are many memories to be made in our capital city. There’s so many ways to embrace Edinburgh, explore, have fun and write new stories just a few miles from your tent door.

The campsite at Dalkeith Country Park is open from 14 July 2023. You can choose from various sized pitches as well as pre-pitched tents. Yes, that’s right, if pitching tents isn’t one of your favourite tasks we can do that bit for you.
