Home and host to many notable guests throughout the years, this audio tour – created in partnership with Geotourist – gives everyone the opportunity, both in-person and further afield, to venture into the past and walk in the footsteps of those who came before. Find out more about the fascinating history behind some of The Park’s most notable buildings and structures.
What's on the tour?
Dalkeith Country Park has been in the Buccleuch family for over 300 years and the site itself can be traced back to Roman times. The architecture and designed landscape you see today have been created through the generations by the Buccleuch family.
Throughout the historical tour you will find out more about Montagu Bridge, Dalkeith Palace, The Ice House, The Dark Walk & London Gates, Restoration Yard, The Orangerie, Prisoner of War Camps, Laundry House & Bridge and last but by no means least The Old Oakwood.
How to take the tour
