Our summer campsite is the perfect location for family camping near Edinburgh. In the heart of Dalkeith Country Park, our rural campsite offers a back to nature experience with a twist. Camp in a car-free-green-grass field, surrounded by woodland with the thrills of Go Ape and Fort Douglas adventure playground a just hop, skip and jump away.
Campsite Pitches
If you’re a seasoned camper with your own tent, simply select a small, medium or large pitch at time of booking. Then choose where you want to camp on arrival at the campsite. For families looking for an easy camping experience, our pre-pitched tents with air beds help keep set up simple.
Dog Friendly Camping
Your four-legged friends are welcome to join you camping at Dalkeith Country Park. Up to two well-behaved dogs can be booked per pitch. So the whole family can enjoy your camping holiday!
With 1000 acres to explore on our waymarked walking trails, campers can enjoy exploring the natural beauty and heritage of Dalkeith Country Park. Whether it’s boots or sandals weather while camping, our walks range from riverside ambles to longer woodland walks. All we ask is that you keep your dogs on a lead and respect the wildlife and farm animals throughout the Park.
