Spectacle of Light 2022 is celebrating Visit Scotland’s Year of Stories with all things inspired by, written or created in Scotland. Therefore, the theme this year is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s – Scottish novelist, poet and travel writer – Treasure Island.
Jim Hawkins has travelled far and wide from The Admiral Benbow Inn on a mission to find the infamous Captain Flint’s buried treasure. After the mysterious passing of the old sea captain – Billy Bones – Jim was left with old Billy’s sea chest possessing a treasure map inside. It is believed that Captain Flint’s treasure is hidden somewhere within the Fort Douglas Adventure Playground! Now all Jim has to do is follow the map and find the treasure. However, it is not that simple. Jim has been followed by pirates!
Jim needs as much help as he can get from all of the little swashbucklers to find Captain Flint’s treasure before the pirates get their hands on it. Will you come and help Jim find the treasure in Fort Douglas?
