DALKEITH COUNTRY PARK
If you’re visiting between the hours of 7am-7pm there is no charge on the gate to enjoy our walking and cycling routes. Your Access Fee is included as part of any purchase made here. However, if you’re looking to arrange a group activity or course in the park, there is a small fee depending on the event. Please contact us to arrange this.
If you’re a regular visitor to the Park and would like to visit after the gates close at 7pm, it’s well worth purchasing a ‘Friends of Dalkeith Country Park’ annual pass card which enables access 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please note this pass is for Park access and not Fort Douglas.*
You can purchase a Park pass by calling us on 0131 654 1666 or from our ticketing cabin over at Fort Douglas which is open from 9am to 5pm. The prices for these are as follows:
‘Friends of Dalkeith Country Park’ annual pass card prices:
|Family Pass (2 Adults & up to 3 Children):||£20.00|
|Adult Dog Walker (up to 2 dogs):||£20.00|
|Adult Dog Walker (3 – 4 dogs):||£40.00|
|Adult Dog Walker (more than 4 dogs):||£100|
|Adult Pass for Trout Fishing:||£30.00|
Passes offer unlimited 24-hour access all year round and are available to anyone aged 16 and over. The passes act as a swipe card when the Town Gate is closed between the hours of 7pm and 7am. Please note this pass does not cover entry to Fort Douglas or other activities. However, it does give you entry to our closest sister Estate, Bowhill House, in the Scottish Borders (estate and gardens entry only, not house tours).
*This gate is currently broken and as such, we are not selling passes. When it is fixed we begin selling and renewing passes again.
