Our Charity Partnership

We are proud to announce our charity partnership with CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland).

What they do

CHAS is the only charity providing hospice services in Scotland for children with life-shortening conditions because no amount of medicine, or love, can cure them. Their aim is to reach out to every family living with the heartbreaking knowledge that their child is dying, support them, care for them and help them to make the most of that precious time. This sits at the heart of everything CHAS do.

Caring for a child with a life-shortening condition can place unimaginable demands on families – physically and emotionally. Quite simply, CHAS is there to lighten their load.

The hospices, which are run by CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland), are purpose-built home from homes providing accommodation and vital hospice services for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. What we will do

As part of this charity partnership we want to help raise vital funds for CHAS. Help us do it. We have collection tins across Dalkeith Country Park’s Fort Douglas and within Restoration Yard‘s store and eateries for any loose change you can spare.

The children and families who CHAS care for are central to everything they do, including playing a huge part in the creation of the CHAS Alphabet! These unique magnetic letters, each designed by one of the children CHAS supports, are now available to buy in store for just £1 per letter – and every single penny goes directly to CHAS.

Why not spell out your name or gift them to a loved one?

Oh and did we mention our Restoration Road slices? It’s our official CHAS cake so for every slice sold we’ll donate 25p to this worthy cause. Deliciously kind.

We will also be hosting events for CHAS throughout the year. We would love to have you join us.

To find out about other ways we will be raising awareness and funds as part of our charity partnership – keep watching this space.
