Go Safe with Ziggy at Dalkeith Country Park

10th August, 2021

The Scottish Government’s Children’s Road Safety campaign ‘Go Safe with Ziggy’ is coming to Dalkeith Country Park this weekend ~ from 9.15am to 4.45pm on Saturday 14 August and Sunday 15 August.

Go Safe with Ziggy at Dalkeith Country Park

Thinking of visiting Fort Douglas this weekend with the little ones? Or perhaps you have planned a family day out to enjoy the nature of Dalkeith Country Park. Well we have one more very good reason to bring the kids to the Park this weekend. They can meet Ziggy.

Who? Well Ziggy is very clever at crossing roads and he wants to tell your pre-schooler all he knows.

Come along this weekend with your three to six year olds and their siblings too – as you may want them to have a refresher course on crossing roads safely. Your children can meet Ziggy himself and find out how he helps them learn road safety. While your kids enjoy his fun yet educational stories they will also explore their way along the beautiful waymarked Yellow Walk within the gorgeous woodland of Dalkeith Country Park. Ziggy will teach them all the know-how they need for crossing safely.

The Campaign

‘Go Safe with Ziggy’ is an engaging campaign aimed at pre-school children. Ziggy brings road safety learning to life with a mix of online and offline material for nurseries and schools as well as little books for parents to use with their little ones at home. Free ‘Ziggy’ resources are available for all.
