Dalkeith Country Park is delighted to welcome The Great British Food Festival to the Palace lawn this September.
More than ‘just another food festival’. The Great British Food Festival combines the nation’s love of great food and drink with the country’s most treasured locations. The GBFF provides a unique opportunity to explore new flavours and beautiful venues, all at the same time!
The main chef demo area hosts great local and tv chefs. This year we are also incorporating demos in baking, drinks tasters and tips to grow your own food! All demos are free (as part of your admission ticket) to enter so everyone can pick up top tips. There are also regular Artisan Foodie talks, the Great British Cake off and lots of FREE kids’ entertainment!
The Great British Food Festival has attracted lots of producers showcasing the best in local, seasonal and speciality food and drink. It’s a great opportunity to get a real taste of the best of local and Great British produce – sample, enjoy and buy.
With Great Britain’s amazing mix of cultures and cuisines we thought it would be a shame to overlook some more exotic elements. Thai, Mexican, Asian, pulled pork, prime steak, and the best local burgers, whatever your heart – or stomach – desires! After you’ve done your foodie shopping, sit out enjoying tasty hot food, a refreshing drink (or two), with great live music in the stunning surroundings. The perfect recipe for a fun, foodie day out for the whole family!
Please note this is an external event run by The Great British Food Festival. Dalkeith Country Park, Restoration Yard and Fort Douglas are open as normal. Please make all enquiries to The Great British Food Festival team. Thank you!
