The Rink at Dalkeith Country Park
Glide into the festive spirit on our artificial outdoor skating rink. Surrounded by twinkling lights and located by the iconic Orangerie at Dalkeith Country Park, it’s perfect for skaters of all abilities (5+)*.
Our Christmas skating rink is sustainable – using innovative Glice Eco-Rink technology, which means no water, energy, or carbon emissions are required to enjoy the fun. We’re proud to offer a magical skating experience that’s as kind to the environment as it is exciting for our visitors. Please note, that gloves are required while on the rink.
*Please note the rink is suitable for ages 5+.
Dates, Times & Prices
The WinterFest Skating Rink will be open for festive fun from 27 November to 3 January. Sessions will begin each hour, on the hour and last 45 minutes.
Ticket Prices*^ are as follows: Adult (13+) £12 | Student & Young Scot (must show Student ID or Young Scot Card) £11 | Child (5 to 12 years) £10.

Skate & Shake
Every Friday* and Saturday night, between 16:00 to 17:00, the rink will transform into a vibrant scene where you can skate to specially-themed music sessions.
Each ‘Skate & Shake’ session offers a unique musical theme. Skate to Taylor Swift, Disney tunes, country, best of boybands and our musical nights.
Skate & Shake ticket prices^ are as follows: Adult (13+) £13 | Student & Young Scot (must show Student ID or Young Scot Card) £12 | Child (5 to 12 years) £11.

ASN Sessions
We understand that some skaters prefer a more relaxed and calm environment. This Christmas, we are offering several quieter ASN-friendly sessions on The Rink at the following dates and times:
10.00 on Saturdays | 28 Nov | 5, 12 & 19 Dec | 2 Jan
During these quieter sessions, we will provide:
Reduced capacity of skaters
Quieter music
The option to book a free carer ticket
A more relaxed atmosphere to help all guests feel comfortable
Your Skating Rink Visit
The Rink is located outodoors, beside The Park’s iconic Orangerie ~ just follow the signs which will lead you to the rink. Please remember to bring your ticket with your QR code on it. This can be on your phone or printed.
