All that after-dark adventuring can make for hungry pirates! Join the crew to toast marshmallows in our flaming field of fire or refuel at the Fort Douglas cabins. Hot chocolate, mulled wine and tasty treats such as Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Vegetable Curry and Hot Dogs are available ~ we can’t guarantee to prevent scurvy but will certainly keep the pirate crew energy levels up!

Treasure Island Theme
Enjoy the night-time wonder of Fort Douglas, illuminated under the stars – where else can you play after dark? This year, our popular winter evening adventure is inspired by Treasure Island. Meet Captain Flint, Long John Silver and their pirate crew as you search for gold through tunnels, down slides, along zip wires and over rope bridges! The challenges of this fabulous play area are perfect for sea-faring adventurers. Why not dress up for the occasion?
Dates & Times
Our after-dark interactive adventure is running on the following dates:
2-4 December || 9 – 11 December || 16 – 23 December || 27 – 31 December.
Spectacle of Light is a continuous experience with entry time slots every 15 minutes, from 16.30 to 19.00. Typically your stay will last approximately 75 minutes, although if you wish to stay for a longer or shorter time, it’s your choice!
Tickets & Booking
Tickets are £24.00 for adults, £12.00 for a child 3-12 and £64.00 for a family ticket.
Tickets for carers and children under 3 are free. If you would like to book for a group of 10 or more, please contact us on spectacle@dalkeithcountrypark.co.uk
