Remembrance 2023 at Dalkeith Palace

Visit Dalkeith Palace to explore the history of The Royal Scots. Journey through the exhibition to discover the strong connections between The Royal Scots, the local Midlothian regiment and Dalkeith Palace. You’ll have the opportunity to hear fascinating military stories, about local soldiers, who we must never forget.

The exhibition is designed to promote the continuing relevance of Remembrance today. It will include interactive exhibits, including local soldiers’ stories, of interest to an audience of all ages, particularly those from the local area.

Also featured will be Rob Wainwright, one-time Medical Officer to the 1^st Battalion, Captain of the Scottish rugby team and capped for the British Lions rugby team. In a video, he gives his take on serving in the armed forces and the impact of warfare on those who serve. The video will be viewable at the exhibition, together with living history films about old Royal’s time in the regiment.

Remembrance 2023 will open 10.00 to 16.00 from 4 to 8 November.

Exhibition tickets are free, however please book online to ensure you can visit at your desired time.
