Meet Santa at Dalkeith Country Park
A much-loved Christmas tradition, our Santa experiences at Dalkeith Country Park return this year with three magical ways to meet Santa, just 20 minutes from Edinburgh.
Gather around for A Tale with Santa, where little ones can enjoy a heart-warming festive story brought to life through song by Santa’s magical singing elf, before meeting Santa up close. Step into Santa’s Grotto for a special one-to-one visit with Santa and a treat for every child. Or start your Christmas morning with Breakfast with Santa, a festive family feast filled with seasonal treats and plenty of Christmas cheer.
Santa's Grotto
Saturday 28 November – Thursday 24 December
Santa and his elves are coming to Dalkeith Country Park to give your family an unforgettably magical experience this Christmas 2026. Making dreams come true, our Santa (and we are pretty sure he is the real one) will make sure every child he meets gets plenty of time to tell him their dearest wish, get a photo opportunity and receive a proper under-the-tree worthy gift.
And to make your Christmas truly magical, Santa has granted all children who visit him a free visit to Fort Douglas Adventure Playground.
A Tale with Santa
Friday 4 – Wednesday 23 December
Step into the enchanting world of A Tale with Santa, our group Santa experience designed to captivate the hearts of children and families alike.
Santa will share a whimsical Christmas tale filled with wonder and delight, joined by his magical singing elf who will help bring the story to life through song. Children will have the opportunity to interact with Santa, capture the special moment with a cherished photo, and receive a special gift, handpicked by Santa himself.
This enchanting group experience is the perfect way to create lasting Christmas memories and share a little festive magic with the whole family. And, as an extra treat, you can enjoy a complimentary visit to Fort Douglas adventure park after your visit.
Breakfast with Santa (sold out)
Saturday 5 – Sunday 20 December
Gather with friends and family in The Kitchen at Restoration Yard to enjoy a morning of magic. Children will delight in scrumptious pancakes, while adults savour a delicious cooked breakfast, all served in a magical setting.
Your child will have the chance to meet the man of the moment and receive a wonderful gift. And, as an extra treat, you can enjoy a complimentary visit to Fort Douglas adventure park after your breakfast.
