Get Bidding to Support Make 2nds Count
Join our online charity art auction – it’s a fun and easy way of buying art! We’ve partnered with The Auction Collective for this enticing selling event, running from 24 April to 13 May.
A thrilling addition to the Inception programme, you have the opportunity to bid for works from many of the Inception artists, painters & photographers, whilst supporting our charity partner Make 2nds Count. So, let’s get bidding, it’s all for a good cause.
To join our charity auction you will first need to register and create an account if you are new to The Auction Collective. Auction artwork is now available to view online. It will also be displayed during the Inception Art Show at Dalkeith Palace.
How to Bid in the Charity Auction
Our charity auction takes place online and is a timed auction. The auction runs for a set period of time, from 24 April to 13 May, and shows the current highest bid, if a bid has been made, or the estimated bid. You then select your maximum bid. The bidder with the highest bid when the countdown timer ends wins the auction.
Any bids placed in the last minute extend the bidding on all the lots in the auction by two minutes. This gives underbidders the chance to place a counter bid on any lot in the auction. You can watch a video demo of a timed auction with The Auction Collective.
