Family Friendly Dalkeith Palace Tour
Enjoy a small group, family friendly tour of the main rooms of Dalkeith Palace, mainly on the ground floor, this summer.
In this 30 minute tour, you’ll glance behind the doors of Dalkeith Palace. Hear about some of the intriguing characters who lived in these ancient walls and discover hidden features. A fun and fact-filled, half-hour exploration of the palace with a family photo opportunity at the end.
These tours will be running at 10:30 and 13.30 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 18 June to 03 September. The tour will last approximately 30 minutes with tickets now on sale: Adults – £4.50 and Children (12 and under) – £2.25.
Dalkeith Palace Tour & Exhibition
Join one of our guides to discover the many layers of Dalkeith Palace’s intriguing history. You will explore Duchess Anna’s creation of The Palace in the early 1700s, learn how subsequent members of the Buccleuch family came to use it and see some of the traces left by more recent tenants. This tour will also provide an introduction to our summer exhibition ‘Dalkeith Palace – A Passion for Music’ and allow time to explore this in greater depth.
Small group tours will be running at 11.30 and 14.30 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 18 June to 03 September. The tour will last approximately 75 minutes with tickets now on sale at £9.50 per person and includes exhibition entry.
