“The heart of autumn must have broken here, and poured its treasure upon the leaves.”- Charlotte Bates
Just when I was coming to terms with autumn being over for another year, I took a trip to Dalkeith Country Park with @scotlandwithfluffywolf yesterday and discovered a slice of autumn clinging on 🥰🍂🍁 Have you visited Dalkeith Country Park yet?”

“Watching your children hand in hand, so closely together I’m not quite sure there’s any better feeling! They may argue, they may drive me crazy some days, but watching them love each other is one of lives greatest gifts.
These pictures are from our latest trip to the Fort Douglas adventure playground at Dalkeith Country Park. We all had so much fun!”

Let’s go on a wee car-free adventure to Dalkeith Country Park.
Take @lothianbuses no. 3 from Princes Street or North Bridge and get off on Dalkeith High Street – 40 minutes. Dalkeith Country Park is a 5-minute walk from there
Browse the lovely shops, have breakfast/lunch or grab coffee & cake from @restorationyard – there’s clothing, gifts, food and homeware. Dangerously good!
Choose a woodland trail for your nature fix. We walked The Old Wood Purple Trail along the River Esk to see the old oak trees, before passing under Montagu Bridge and admiring Dalkeith Palace.
