How was your visit?
Christmas Cookie Decorating
If they have a proclivity for all things sweet then this is the Christmas activity for them. Little ones under the age of 12 can decorate pre-made cookie stars, trees and gingerbread men and walk away with four delicious cookies to enjoy or give as a sweet gift – providing none of them get munched beforehand!
Elf Storytelling
Nestle into Santa’s magical workshop at Restoration Yard and be transported into the world of festive stories. Christmas stories – read by Santa’s head elf – include The Christmasaurus, There’s an Elf in Your Book and many other extraordinary tales.
Please note, children must be accompanied by an adult (a maximum of two adults per child). Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a ticket.
Decorate a Gingerbread House
Let their creativity soar with this everlasting Christmas tradition – gingerbread house decorating. Children of 9 – 15 years old can decorate a pre-made gingerbread house and walk away with unique piece of delicious festive art.
Why not increase the festive fun and book their bestie in too?
Christmas Sing & Sign
Get into the festive spirit with your little one in a fun-filled music session with Sing and Sign Midlothian in Santa’s magical workshop. Learn some festive signs while singing along to Christmas tunes and take part in a bit of dancing with your little one.
You’ll also have a chance to meet Sing & Sign’s mascot Jessie Cat and play peekaboo in this hour-long session – yippee!
Christmas at Dalkeith Country Park
Let the festivities commence! Christmas at Dalkeith Country Park has something for everyone. Family gatherings, kids workshops, outdoor activities, after dark play and plenty of festive spirit.
