How was your visit?
Since the partnership began in January 2024, Dalkeith Country Park and Restoration Yard worked closely with My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to deliver a diverse programme of fundraising events, initiatives and park activities, engaging thousands of visitors and supporters across 2024 and 2025.
Fundraising Highlights
The Park supported the partnership through a wide range of fundraising events and everyday initiatives that engaged visitors and the wider community. Highlights included the ever-popular Doddie Duck Race and Festive Doddie Dash, both of which became much-anticipated fixtures in The Park’s annual calendar, alongside seasonal event fundraising stalls that encouraged donations throughout the year.
Small Gestures, Big Impact
Creative collaborations also played a key role, with standout moments such as the Restoration Yard Fashion Show Raffle and the Inception Art Show Charity Auction at Dalkeith Palace.
In addition, ongoing contributions were generated through collection tins located across The Park and a dessert donation scheme from The Kitchen at Restoration Yard, ensuring that everyday visits could make a meaningful difference.
Speaking on the conclusion of the partnership, Sophie Barr, Head of Events at Dalkeith Country Park, said:
