For the sweet tooths
Children will decorate a pre-made gingerbread house or Christmas cookies and walk away with unique piece of festive art…and the best news is, you don’t have to clean up after!
For the sporty elves
Set them off on our 1km kiddies’ Elf Dash on Sunday 11 December. Babies in buggies, littler legs (of 11 and under) and all your four-legged friends are welcome to run this accessible little jaunt along King’s Drive.
Parents can get involved too! Why not book into the Santa Fun Run and join your elves for a jolly jog around Dalkeith Country Park?
For the whole family
If the glitter and magic of the festive season is what your kids crave, then Spectacle of Light is where you need to be. Grab your giant marshmallows and get toasting in the flaming field of fire before you head out on the hunt for treasure, over bridges, along zips and down slides in Fort Douglas. There’s fun for all ages at Spectacle of Light!
Advance tickets are now on sale which means you can save 10% on full price tickets until 1 December.
For the book worms
Nestle into Santa’s magical workshop at Restoration Yard and be transported into the world of festive stories. Christmas stories – read by Santa’s head elf – include The Christmasaurus, There’s an Elf in Your Book and many other extraordinary tales.
Please note, children must be accompanied by an adult (a maximum of two adults per child). Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a ticket.
For the little performers
Get into the festive spirit with your little one in a fun-filled music session with Sing and Sign Midlothian in Santa’s magical workshop. Learn some festive signs while singing along to Christmas tunes and take part in a bit of dancing with your little one.
You’ll also have a chance to meet Sing & Sign’s mascot Jessie Cat and play peekaboo in this hour-long session – yippee!
