Raising Funds

Throughout the partnership, which began in 2019, funds were raised by visitors to Dalkeith Country Park at a variety of events. Restoration Yard donations came from The Store’s bag sales and donations from dishes on the menu in The Kitchen restaurant.

CHAS Response

Chief Executive of CHAS, Rami Okasha said: “I am so thrilled to hear the amazing amount of £16,850.26 raised by Dalkeith Country Park since start of our charity partnership in May 2019.

“Dalkeith Country Park has raised more than we could have imagined through a series of exciting events including the hugely popular Spectacle of Light. There were also generous donations from across the business, including Restoration Yard. The families we support have faced many challenges since the start of the pandemic. It’s therefore imperative that CHAS continues to be there to support them in this very uncertain climate. It’s thanks to the help of Dalkeith Country Park and all our other partners and supporters that we’re able to keep the joy alive for so many children and their families across the whole of Scotland.”
