Scottish artisan food and drink makers to showcase products at Restoration Yard
27th April, 2017
A selection of Scottish food and drink producers will be showcasing their artisan products at a foodie focused event in Dalkeith this weekend.
Restoration Yard is hosting a ‘meet the makers’ event on Saturday 29 April, providing the opportunity to find out more about some of the luxury food and drink found on the shelves of the retail destination’s food hall.
The mouth-watering line-up includes gourmet Katy Cloud Marshmallows, based just outside of Dalkeith; handcrafted Abbotts Chocolates from Langholm, Dumfriesshire; and tipples from Born in the Borders Brewery.
Visitors can also learn more about the local produce used to make Restoration Yard’s very own small-batch jams, chutneys and marmalades.
Victoria Grey, Store Manager at Restoration Yard, said: “Sourcing fantastic quality produce from local suppliers for our food hall and Café is very important at Restoration Yard.
“We take great pride in the selection of jams, chutneys and marmalades we make and sell, and we are committed to supporting as many amazing local suppliers as we can.
“Our ‘meet the makers’ event will provide a fabulous chance to come face-to-face with some of Scotland’s talented food and drink producers.”
The ‘meet the makers’ event takes place between 12noon and 4pm.
