Restoration Yard hosts The Hive of Wellbeing workshops for local teachers
17th March, 2017
Teachers across Mid and East Lothian are being treated to a series of free wellbeing seminars at Restoration Yard in Dalkeith Country Park.
The Hive of Wellbeing sessions taking place throughout March, aim to help transform perspectives on life – ultimately having a positive impact on the lives of the children and young people they teach.
The workshops are held by professional coach, Claire Lavelle (who has over 20 years’ experience in the education sector) in Wellbeing Lab, Restoration Yard’s recuperative space dedicated to nurturing the mind, body and soul.
Claire uses a combination of positive psychology, coaching for performance and self-efficacy techniques.
Jen Wood, Programme Director of Wellbeing Lab, said: “The Hive of Wellbeing workshops are a fantastic addition to our line-up and will hopefully have a knock-on effect by helping local teachers to have an impact on their pupils’ wellbeing.
“We’re building up a varied programme of classes and workshops at Wellbeing Lab which includes mindfulness, pilates and yoga.
“All are designed to help nourish the mind by encouraging people to slow down and manage stress and anxiety.”
The sessions take place each Tuesday until the end of March between 4.15pm and 5.45pm and free spaces are still available for teachers by emailing Claire Lavelle on firstname.lastname@example.org
